Q. Will a vehicle wrap or vinyl stripes damage my vehicle's paint upon removal? A. No!! (in most cases).. In all of our experiences, the only time a vehicle's paint may be affected is in the case of a poor repaint job. Factory paint, in 99.0% of instances, is not affected by our wraps. In fact we suggest that you have your vehicle professionally waxed prior to installation, this will make the removal easier as the vinyl and wax will work in harmony. But if the vehicle was recently painted, as with "Clear Bra" paint protection, you should wait at least 30-45 days for the paint to fully cure, before installation. (no matter what you may have heard otherwise). Back to top
Q. Will you Wrap a leased vehicle? Or even install vinyl stickers? A. Yes, keep in mind that most leases are 5 years and less. So this would also fall into the warranty question, so why not address it early? See how we are... Like any other vehicle, the wrap can easily be removed without any damage at the end of the lease. Please see above for more suggestions on pre installation. We could also address the next question of how long the wrap will last? But we will wait for you to ask it.... Hah! Back to top
Q. How long will Vinyl (or a Wrap) last on my vehicle? A. Our wraps will normally outlast the vehicle lease period. As for other uses, you can expect your wrap to last 3-5 years or longer, providing you are careful about power washing. Also as with being in the dessert, keeping oil and moister in the material is important. Just as with the finish of your vehicle, most retail waxes on the market will serve the purpose of keeping the material in good shape. * Just make sure you read the warning, if it states not to use or come in contact with vinyl, don't use it! Beaver Stripes offers, as part of our full detail product line a wax that is safe to use on vinyl, stickers and wraps! Just ask... Back to top
Q. Do you offer any kind of warranty? A. We offer a 5 year manufacturer warranty on our wraps for material applied to painted surfaces and a 3 year for material applied to window surfaces on vehicles. Even better, we offer a 3 year warranty on horizontal applied vehicle stripes, let's see anyone else offer that in Arizona! For Store front's we offer a 3 year warranty on our vinyl, even if it is facing the west.. Oh where those other vinyl's cook!! :) As for pin stripes and side graphics, the manufacture's warranty applies. Back to top
Q. How do I care for my wrap? A. Hand washing is best. Avoid high pressure washes this does not mean you can't use the local easy car wash as they usually use brushes. Be careful never to use an ice-scraper (like we use those in Arizona?), Sweeping off windows with a soft broom and rear defroster will cause no damage to your window wrap. O. K. maybe up north you would.. Other than the fact of avoiding sharp and brunt objects, (like you would attack your car with anyway).... The best thing to keep in mind, is to care for your ride like you would anyway?,,, Well most of us.. Clean, (watch the high pressure) and keep the surface waxed! Back to top
Q. What is the approximate time frame expected for installation once the design is approved? A. From the time that the design is completed and approved by our client, a wrap can be printed and installed within 2 days. But keep in mind the design period, even though you asked Back to top
Q. Can you wrap anything other than a vehicle, RV or Bus? A. Absolutely, we have wrapped buildings, windows, boats, storefronts and large machinery. If the surface to wrap has enough adhesion for the vinyl, a wrap is possible. Back to top Q. What is involved with the Design Phase? A. This is the critical part of the vehicle wrap process. Communication is essential to ensure your vehicle wrap is designed properly per your needs. A complete understanding of the overall project is a must. The design must be done taking into account that the images used need to be high resolution. File types must be adhered to per our specifications and the wrap design must be properly scaled to the vehicle. We encourage our clients to focus on the purpose of the vehicle wrap. We have found that simple but deliberate design works best. Please click here to review our Designs and Procedures specifications. Back to top
Q. What is the approximate time frame expected for installation once the design is approved? A. From the time that the design is completed and approved by our client, a wrap can be printed and installed usually within 10 days. Back to top
Q. What if I don't have any high resolution artwork? A. High-resolution artwork is available and can be purchased through various sources. You can also purchase Royalty free artwork, you can then use it in all of your marketing material. We utilize several websites that provide high resolution artwork and images. Often, high resolution artwork can be attained through a corporate office of most franchises, along with any vendors your company deals with or promotes. Keep in mind that we can assist you in designing a complete wrap from concept to completion which includes dealing with all of the high resolution artwork. Back to top
Q. Does a vehicle have to be a certain color to work? A. Generally, no. A full wrap covers all the painted surfaces of a vehicle (roof when requested) and is an opaque material. Areas such as chrome bumpers, grilles and trim are generally not covered. Therefore, color generally does not matter. However, if you have a light vehicle and a dark wrap, edges and hinges may be slightly visible after installation. Same is true for the opposite. Please also keep in mind that window coverage is subject to local and state regulations. Back to top
Q. Who designs what the wrap will actually look like? A. Our in-house designers will work closely with you to reach the look that fits your needs. We focus on the design printing and installation of your vehicle wrap. Our in-house designers are very experienced and utilize the most updated design software and latest computers. Back to top
Q. What happens when the graphics are removed? A. In both the application and removal of vehicle wraps, the key is working with an experienced installer. Beaver Stripes, rarely experiences problems with paint removal and therefore is a preferred vendor among many fleet management companies, small business owners and a growing number of municipalities locally. Removal fees are additional. Back to top
Q. How and where do you install my wrap? A. Beaver Stripes has a dedicated team of experienced installers in house. We also work with a network of local independent contractors, that may be available to help if needed. We prefer to do the work at our location, however that is not always feasible. We can have our installers come to YOUR location (if you have a suitable indoor facility: generally about 4-5 ft around vehicle in enclosed area). Back to top
