Stevie Sussex III, (yes that's the third!). Driver of the #62 ASCS Sprint Car Owned by Bob Bishop.
Proudly driving in the ASCS Canyon Region series locally at Canyon Speedway Park, USA Raceway & Prescott Valley Raceway. Locally sponsored & supported by Beaver Stripes, Pro-Tec Coatings and many family and friends.
Stevie (III) was born Feb. 28, 1991, into a family of racing, his father and grand father were both racers. We figure that's why he get's the (III) title in his name. (We plan to add more about the family history of racing soon, as soon as Stevie shares it with us).
Stevie Sussex started racing at the age of 5, racing quarter midgets. It was something he enjoyed more than anything, so his father worked hard on getting him started in a midget at the age 14. After a few years of midgets, Stevie was good (& lucky) enough to hook up with Bob Bishop to run his sprint car.
While not racing, Stevie likes to go camping, riding quads, playing basketball and most of all hanging out with his friends and family.
Stevie ended the 2009 season in 4th place (drivers points) Bob Bishop ended the season in 7th place (owners points). Congrats to Zach Sawyers (Driver's Champion) & Craig Sawyers (Owners Champion). Watch out for Stevie in the coming season!
For the 2010 racing season, he will be piloting the #62 Sprint Car, Owned by Bob Bishop and proudl by Beaver Stripes, RSS Indistries and his Family & Friends

Beaver Stripes latest venture in supporting and sponsoring local racing. How about those young, real young racers? Starting out in Go Karts, but then we found out that even the bigger boys and girls like to play in the Karts.
|
|
|
|
But for starters Beaver Stripes decided to back Tyler High, who has been around racing since he was a baby. He has traveled across the country watching his "Daddy", Nathan High, race. Tyler was born, June 6, 2003 in Goodyear, while his proud parents Joni & Nathan wondered if the racing would be in his blood? He also has a sister, Chloe, not sure about her racing interest yet.
Besides Racing his Kart, which he asks Mom & Dad all week when he gets to race again. Tyler aslo plays baseball, which he has been active in for 4 years or so. Along with the new age computer stuff kids are into, WII and such, he does enjoy school, just finished 1st grade! Tyler started his racing career in April of this year, 2010, currently runs in the JR, JR (aka The Curtain Climbers) class, and has been doing pretty well. Nathan better watch out!
